Wine Spectator: 90 Points
Bright and sweet, with aromatic spices and prune flavors, picking up a nice hint of dried cherry and strawberry as the finish lingers.
Wine Enthusiast: 91 Points
Fragrant with berries and citrus, this Muscat is also syrupy sweet without being cloying. Hints of coffee and caramel provide a deeper, darker foundation on the palate, with bits of candied orange peel and chocolate on the finish.
Wine Advocate: 96 Points
The N.V. Fine Muscat offers the most complexity of this hedonistic trio. Dark amber-colored, it delivers flavors of toffee, caramel, brown sugar, and dates. It is well balanced and has a long, pure finish. R. L. Buller & Son was started in 1921 by the grandfather of Andrew Buller, the current winemaker. The winery remains one of the quality leaders in the production of sweet wines from the warm terroir of Rutherglen. Moreover, the wines cannot be duplicated anywhere else in the world.
